New
Beginnings is a non-profit organization. Through this ministry
we have been led to reach out to many children who are orphans
and are hopeless. They all have AIDS and lost their parents
because of AIDS.
God
has put us with 85 orphans who we feed, clothe, educate,
and provide medical assistance for. We decided to house
these children in family groups with the widows in the village
because we still don’t have a building where we can
bring them together.
Most of the children here have been challenged in life.
We have boys from the streets and girls who have been sexually
abused to get food. All of our children are grateful to
have found a home with us.
Our
long-term goal is to build a dormitory and send the children
to school. Meanwhile, we need help, especially with food
and medicine. Right now the children get one meal a day
of beans and cabbage. We would like to offer them lunch
if we can.
The
money we raise will keep the children alive. We are also
continuing to get the villagers more involved in helping.
We believe that it "takes a village." So, funding
projects, grants, local support, and increasing awareness
for the need is paramount.
